AN entertaining six goal thriller saw Whittlesea Zebras and Melbourne Knights fight out a 3-3 draw at Epping Stadium.

The opening half was a one sided affair with the Knights dominating play.

They took their chances and scored three goals in the opening 20 minutes.

Knights top goal scorer Andrew Barisic got onto the score sheet again on the 11th minute.

Cameron Watson made a run through the centre of the park, put Andrew through and just inside the box, on a slight angle he placed the ball into the back of the net.

Two minutes later the Zebras defenders were caught napping and allowed Joe Spiteri to get pass his defenders and on a tight angle shoot past Kenny Gerochristodolou’s near post to make it two-nil.

Andrew Barisic was turning out to be unstoppable when he got his double on the 20th minute.

Ivan Franjic got onto a long ball, he then laid it off to Andrew who then turned his defender and just outside the box curled the ball into the top right hand corner.

Stefan Piorkowski almost made it four nil but his long range shot from 35 yards just went wide of the left post.

Six minutes into the second half Ross Antoniadis gave his team some hope of winning.

Ante Loncaric failed to hold onto a cross, which fell to Simon Lamanda who had his shot blocked and in a scramble Ross drilled the ball in.

On the 70th minute mark Jerry Karpeh gave his team real belief of getting a result.

Jerry beat the offside trap, took on Ante Loncaric and placed the ball into the net.

Anthony Pelikan almost secured the win but his free kick from 30 yards out rattled the crossbar and went out for a goal kick.

John Angelovski had done the unbelievable when he equalised with a minute to spare.

Goran Talevski whipt the ball in, Ante Loncaric cut it off but it fell to Jerry Karpeh who had his shot block and then John Angelovski got to the ball first and drilled the ball in to leave the final scores at 3-3.
