‘Stabba’ returns to Somers Street

The Melbourne Knights have appointed Andrew Marth as head coach for the remainder of the 2012 season. Marth, a previous long serving captain at the Knights, takes over the reins after a disappointing run of results under coach Paul Magdic.

Marth is aware of the difficult task ahead for the Knights but is looking forward to the challenge of coaching at his old stomping ground again.

“It’s an honour and privilege to be back at the Knights. The club has always been in my heart, so it’s all about bringing that passion back and brining out the best in this squad. It’s not beyond us to do well.”

Taking on the Assistant role will be current goal keeper coach, Frank Juric.

The Melbourne Knights would like to thank Paul Magdic and Lorenz Kindtner for their service to the club and would like to wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
