The future looks bright at Tompsett Stadium after President Simon Pincic made a number of announcements at the clubs season launch on Friday evening.
More than 200 guests, including Member of Parliament for St Albans Natalie Suleyman, attended the club’s traditional jersey auction and season launch at the Australian Croatian Association in Footscray.
Pincic began his address by welcoming and thanking the clubs corporate partners for 2025, including longtime sponsor Ivan Filipovic of I&D Group who remain as the club’s major sponsor; Pas Garofalo and Charles Agius of AHB Group who joins as a major sponsor with Sherridon Homes; and Matthew Tompsett of Tompsett Asphalt, whose investment will see the Stadium renamed to Tompsett Stadium for at least the next three years.
The investment from Tompsett caps off nearly 18 months of upgrades to the Stadium and its surrounds, at a total project value exceeding $2m.
These works include new changerooms and pitches for the clubs junior program, upgraded corporate facilities, upgrades to drainage with new asphalt and concrete to large parts of the club, along with a brand new green space at the clubrooms.
Pincic ended his address with an update on the clubs National Second Tier ambitions. He confirmed that after a recent meeting with Football Australia, the club has officially submitted its expression of interest for the next stage of applications, with the hope of being admitted to the competition in 2026.
The Knights kick start their 2025 NPL Victoria campaign at Tompsett Stadium next Thursday night in the season opener at 7:30pm vs Heidelberg United. Memberships are available for purchase on the night or online via the link below.
