Melbourne Knights are excited to unveil that Tomislav Uskok has signed on for the club ahead of the 2018 NPL Season.
“I’m so excited to be back at the Knights, and to be honest back at home. After discussions with Asanovic, Racunica, and some influential people in my life it just felt like the right thing to do”, describes Uskok.
Uskok 26, makes a welcome return to Knights Stadium after spending the past 2 years across the border initially with Central Coast Mariners, before joining sister club Sydney United.
“My experience in Sydney was fantastic. I played in a very successful and talented team at United and worked under some great coaches, I couldn’t have asked for more”.
The former captain of the club also went on to express his excitement in joining up with some of his old teammates, and working with new head coaches Aljosa Asanovic and Dean Racunica.
“The boys in the change room are some of my best mates, we’ve achieved a lot together in the past, and we all share the same ambition to bring the club back to where it belongs and have success again at Somers Street”.
“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with some people that I looked up to as a youngster. Asanovic and Racunica are of the highest calibre and it’s a very exciting time to be back. The club is doing everything right in turning things around, and we’ve got some fantastic people involved again in the committee and coaching staff and everyone is optimistic about the future”.
Uskok also expressed his thanks to Green Gully , and wished them all the best for next season.
“I would like to thank Green Gully not only for giving me the opportunity to play for them next season, but also for their understanding in allowing me to return to the Knights.”
