Knights Junior Selected for Victoria

Young gun goalkeeper Marko Bulic is the latest name to come through the famous Melbourne Knights production line, with the 14-year-old Maribyrnong College student having been selected to represent the Victorian Under 14 State Team in the upcoming tournament in Coffs Harbour.

Having previously spent time with sister club St Albans Saints, the goalkeeper has thrived in his past two seasons with the Melbourne Knights in the lead up to selection.

“It’s pretty exciting, I was very surprised to be told the news and I’m really looking forward to the opportunity”, said Marko.

Marko’s selection comes on the back of an impressive season with the Melbourne Knights under 14’s side, who despite finishing in mid-table conceded just 25 goals in 24 games.

The youngster was quick to single out his father Mile as the biggest influence and role model in football, whilst Spaniard custodian David De Gea is the goalkeeper Marko looks up to.

State Selection is just the next step for the aspiring Bulic who harbours ambitions to represent the Knights senior team and earn an A-league contract.

From all involved at Melbourne Knights, we congratulate Marko Bulic on his achievement and the best of luck in the upcoming tournament.
