Melbourne Knights FC are proud to warmly welcome the return of one of its favourite sons, in the form of Caleb Mikulic. Caleb returns to the club after a short stint at St. Albans Saints [Dinamo] and says there’s no better feeling than being back in a red jersey:
“I am very excited to be back, and to be playing with boys who I grew up playing with in the juniors”, said Mikulic.
Caleb, who just turned 20, is a pacey player who has previously been a versatile weapon in the Knights artillery. With growing skill and a hungry determination, the previous Knights’ junior is shaping up to be one to watch in the 2018 season.
When asked about the belter he scored last season against Bentleigh Greens, Caleb had the following to say regarding his own aspirations for the season, as well as the teams:
“Nothing feels better than being able to score goals. I’m feeling that this squad is really going to look out for each other on the pitch – and hopefully enable me to score some more [goals] for this beautiful club.”
For Caleb, the shirt is something special – the Mikulic family are a Knights family now into their 3rd generation, which he says is something close to his heart:
“Yes, my old man is a fanatic Knights supporter, along with my grandparents – they are all very proud of me. We grew up at Somers Street, so it feels like home to be playing here again.”
We’re very happy to welcome Caleb back to Knights for the 2018 season, and look forward to his continuing development into the future.
Christmas is almost here, and so is our squad! Keep an eye on all of our social media pages for continuing player announcements and happenings around the club.
