Melbourne Knights are excited to announce Zlatko Dalic as the club’s Number One ticket holder ahead of its 70th Anniversary Season.
Almost 500 guests including many new, returning and famous faces were in attendance at last weeks Season Launch hosted by one of Australia’s most highly respected football media personalities David Davutovic.
Amongst those attending was Croatia National Team Head Coach, Zlatko Dalic who was named as the club’s Number One Ticket Holder a month after leading the Vatreni to third place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Largely symbolic, the number one ticket holder encapsulates the qualities and ethos of the Knights. After taking over the Vatreni in 2017 Dalic led the side to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final in Russia before finishing third at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Dalic was in attendance at Wednesday’s Season Launch alongside HNS President Marijan Kustic, Technical Director Stipe Pletikosa, TD for Development Petar Krpan, as well as former Knight and Croatian U19 Head Coach Josip Simunic.
Shocked and humbled by the award, Dalic said he was honoured to be amongst the Knights faithful and to see the unity and passion for the club and the national team.
Knights will kick off their 2023 NPL Victoria campaign on the road against St Albans on Sunday, February 19 (5pm KO).
