Festival brings players and fans together

Last weekend, the entire senior squad of the Melbourne Knights attended the Croatian Cultural Festival hosted by AHD Melbourne. The event, designed to celebrate all things Croatian, was a perfect opportunity for the team to meet the fans and share their expertise with some future stars of soccer.

After initial introductions on the main stage, senior players ran clinics for eager kids of all ages which included demonstrations of ball juggling and small sided games. The appearance of the entire squad caused quite a buzz amoung those in attendance at the festival, with many impressed with the players’ rapport with their young fans.

A highlight of the day was when newly launched individual player cards were distributed to all participants in the clinics, who promptly used the opportunity to meet their favourite players and ask for autographs.

Fans who missed out on player cards will be able to collect them from the merchandise kiosk at our next home game against Bentleigh on the 20th of March at 6pm, and have them signed in the social club after the match.
