Harry Cakarun re-signs for the 2018 NPL season

Harry Cakarun re-signs for MKFC

Melbourne Knights are proud to announce the re-signing of shot-stopper Harry Cakarun ahead of the 2018 NPL Season.

“It’s an exciting time to be at the club, we’ve started training for next season and the energy in the change rooms is all positive”, says Cakarun.

Harry, 19, is looking at making an aggressive comeback into the senior men’s squad. His run as first choice goalkeeper this season was cut short by injury.

“I was more annoyed than anything else when I broke my hand after a few games of being first ‘keeper. My confidence and match fitness had progressed well in a short period of time. I’m keen to get back out there and pick up where I left off”.

The youngster is a self-described life-long fan and player at the club, which will suit the squad especially well this season; a crucial comeback year for a Knights team who was taken to the brink of relegation in 2017.

“Any injured player will tell you it’s not much fun being on the side-line during a relegation game, but the boys put in a good shift and thankfully we avoided relegation to NPL2”.

“No one in the squad wants to be in that position again, and we’ll be fighting hard to get the club back to where to it should be”

As a shining representation of loyalty and a strong junior’s set-up, Melbourne Knights are proud to have Harry gunning for the gloves ahead of the 2018 season.
