The Melbourne Knights Football Club, in light of recent events involving Avondale FC – urges all club members and supporters to refrain from attending this week’s Round 7 fixture away to Avondale FC on Saturday 30th March 2019.
The club has come to this decision after much consternation however we are of the firm belief that this is the only way to eliminate the potential exposure to allegations made by opposition clubs, supporters and officials to Football Victoria’s Discipline Department.
The Club, together with Melbourne Croatia Soccer Club are opening the clubrooms on Saturday afternoon from the kickoff of the Under 20s match at 1pm. The Under 20s and Seniors matches will be shown live & free on the big screens inside and outside with food and drinks available at regular prices.
This will be the first time the club will be showing a match at the clubrooms since the National Soccer League and despite the circumstances, we’re excited to host our army of fans in the comfort of our home ground.
