Melbourne Knights Football Club is pleased to announce Corey Sewell as its latest signing for the 2019 NPL Season.
Sewell, 22, is a versatile defender joins the club from FC Bulleen Lions.
Despite experiencing relegation last season with Bulleen, Sewell had a break out year in the NPL Competition where he started and played in every game last season.
He has also had a strong start to life in Knights colours as he has been one of top performers through the pre-season.
Speaking after the clubs 4-0 defeat of Moreland Zebras on the weekend,
“It’s a privilege to join such a prestigious club. After speaking to the board about their ambitions and where they want to take the club in the immediate future it made sense for me to come on board for the journey.”
“We’ve got a great group of players here and they’ve all made me feel welcome right from the get go. We’ve been working extremely hard and I feel as though we’re in for a big season.”
We welcome Corey Sewell to the club and wish him well for the upcoming season.
