The Melbourne Knights Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Lachlan Armstrong as the club’s Senior Assistant Coach for the 2020 NPL Season.
Armstrong brings a wealth of experience with him as he joins the club having spent the last 4 seasons as head coach of the Melbourne City NPL team.
Armstrong had this to stay after joining the club:
“When Stuart gave me a call to see if he wanted me to join his backroom staff for the upcoming season, I didn’t have to think twice about it. Melbourne Knights is a massive club and I’m privileged to be able to work alongside Stuart and the playing group.”
The Knights have also assembled a High-Performance Team to join the backroom staff for the upcoming season.
The High-Performance Team will be led by Exercise Physiologist Keegan Ziada who joins the Knights via Melbourne Football Club.
Ziada’s team will consist of
Head Physiotherapist: Meagan Davies
Physiotherapist: Chris Ross
Strength and Conditioning Coach: Alex Shilabeer
Strength and Conditioning Coach: Div Pather
Head Coach Stuart Munro had this to say on his backroom staff:
“I have worked with Keegan in the past and his knowledge on training loads and player welfare management is up there with the best. I wanted to implement a strong backroom staff for the playing group and for the club going forward. With a National Second Division not too far away, it’s important that the club lays the foundations down correctly now in preparation for when that time comes.”
Blerton Belica will remain as the Senior Goalkeeper Coach for the 2020 Season.
With pre-season now underway, stay tuned as we begin to announce some new player arrivals at Somers St.
