Melbourne Knights FC extends its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those that supported our fundraising event last night. With 250 in attendance, the positive vibes were in abundance. From our sponsors and members to the wider Croatian community, your generosity and genuine desire to see our great club succeed was truly evident throughout the night.
The three auction items were a hit and hotly contested by those in attendance. Our deepest appreciation to Marko Thompson Perkovic (special thanks to Steve Ravic and Majestic films for the kind donation), Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic for generously providing us with signed Croatian National Team jerseys. AHD Geelong and AHD Melbourne secured the coveted signed Thompson top.

Melbourne Knights Juniors were the happy recipients of the Gvardiol jersey with the Kovacic jersey secured by Toma Cevizovic via phone bid.
Thank you to all those that donated prizes for the raffle including our amazing 1st prize dinner for 10 at St Andrew’s Hotel valued at $3,000, The Fab 5, Accent Brands, Croatian Golf Club, AHD Geelong, F.A. Hrvatska Zora and Le Salon Aux Fleurs Armadale. Congratulations to all of our winners. Special mention to Mr Maslac for kindly donating the 3rd prize draw back to the club.
Events like this aren’t possible without hard work behind the scenes, so to Mrs Franjic and Mrs Pavlovic we thank you for organising another memorable event and to Grupa More for ensuring that our guests were thoroughly entertained with a compilation of crowd favourites.
Thank you to our MC Ante Smolic for heading up the formalities in his trademark professionally comedic style including an insightful and enjoyable interview with guest speaker Steve Ravic and culminating in a special song dedicated to our club, resonating with members and supporters past and present.
Finally, a huge shout out to AHD Melbourne for not only hosting our wonderful event but for generously donating the cost of the event back to the club. Your generous gesture is gratefully acknowledged and received and showcases the level of support still present in our Croatian community.
The hard work doesn’t stop here. We have a challenging year ahead and the support from sponsors and members, old and new, will be crucial in securing our success in season 2026. If the past few months with the Junior Cup, Last Man Standing and Knight for a Cause is any indication, it is obvious that the support is alive and well and that we are all truly united in ensuring the future and ongoing prosperity of MKFC.
