Melbourne Knights will be launching a new social media campaign during the 2014 NPL Victoria season which will provide its supporters with regular news, interviews and video content.
Those following the Knights’ Facebook and Twitter accounts can expect an increased levels of activity, with plenty of behind-the scenes content, regular updates on club news and live updates on Twitter during games.
As part of the new campaign, the Club will be launching KNIGHTStv, which will include match highlights from the NPL, as well as mid-week player and coach interviews, club staff profiles and more.
Donald Sutherland and Tom Pollock, co-founders of MFootball.com.au, have been appointed to manage the Club’s media department.
“Don and I are excited about the opportunity to work at Melbourne Knights and aim to make it the Club with the best coverage in Victoria,” Tom Pollock said.
Melbourne Knights FC Secretary Melinda Cimera said she was excited about the new social media push, which will connect the club with more of its supporters than ever before.
“We’re excited about the move forward and the content that will be produced which will promote all facets of the football club,” Ms. Cimera said.
“It’s a move that we hope will lift the profile of Melbourne Knights even more and engage with the fans.”
