2021 FFA Cup Round 4 – Old Scotch v Knights

The Melbourne Knights will kick off their 2021 FFA Cup campaign against Old Scotch SC on Saturday, April 3.

The Knights will once again have to compete after a shorter break, following their 1-0 loss to Heidelberg United during the week.

During the Knights’ last match, the boys unfortunately lost by the narrowest of margins, consequently conceding top spot on the league table. The loss was also their first at home this season.

The Knights’ last FFA Cup run was back in 2019. It was cut short when they drew A-League side, Adelaide United in the round of 32. A 5-2 loss was the last time the Knights’ last featured in the competition, after the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted the 2020 season.

Our opponents Old Scotch are a club from Hawthorn, competing in the Men’s State League 2. Their 2021 FFA Cup run began in the previous round, defeating Bundoora United 3-1, after extra time.

Old Scotch are currently 3rd in their league, undefeated after two matches; one win and one draw.

Make sure to show your support for the Knights when they begin their FFA Cup run, in Hawthorn today!
