The 2017 season will start with an away day to Hume City and will finish with a home game against St Albans, after the new PS4 NPL Victoria fixtures were announced on Thursday afternoon.
Andrew Marth’s men will open their campaign on February 11 at ABD Stadium, taking on Hume City where former player James McGarry now plays. Interestingly however, McGarry will not face his former Club, having picked up 5 yellow cards on the final day of the 2016 season and is suspended for the opening fixture.
Knights will resume their battle with historic rivals South Melbourne with the first Derby to take place in Round 9 at Lakeside Stadium, while the reverse fixture takes place in mid July.
As hinted at the Club’s Annual General Meeting, all of the Knights’ home games will take place on Friday night at 8:30PM.
The Club will have a very interesting finish to the year, facing North Geelong (away) and St Albans (home) in the final two games of the season. One can only image what the table will look like at that stage of the year!
