COVID-19 Update

 

As the current climate regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak in Australia continues to change daily, the Melbourne Knights Football Club welcomes the decision by Football Federation Australia regarding the suspension of play across football competitions in Victoria.

Football Federation Australia has today announced that play will be completely suspended for the next four weeks effective 12am Wednesday 18th March 2020, which will see the relative competitions and training in Victoria on hold until 14th April 2020, with further assessment on the safety of play to be completed in advance of 14th of April 2020. The club welcomes the decision by Football Federation Australia, as the health and safety of our 350 players and their families, club volunteers and supporters is our first and foremost priority in this situation as well as is our responsibility to the wider community.

 

So how does this affect the club and you?

All games to be played at Knights Stadium during this period have been suspended for Mens Seniors, U20’s, U18’s, Women’s and all Junior competitions.

All training has been suspended during this period for Mens Seniors, U20’s, U18’s, Women’s and all Junior competitions.

All associated football related activities have been suspended.

 

The club understands the situation in Australia regarding COVID-19 outbreak is changing at a rapid pace and we would like to ensure our members and supporters that we will be vigilantly monitoring the situation with the relevant authorities. As more information becomes relevant we will be updating this page to keep our community informed.

The club thanks all members and supporters for their patience and understanding. In the meantime, the club recommends following the advised transmission reduction measures put forward by the Department of Health and Human Services, Victoria. To see these measures, follow:
