Knights sign Yildiz on return to Aus

The Melbourne Knights Football Club would like to announce Erdeniz Yildiz as its latest signing for the upcoming 2020 NPL season.

Yildiz, 21, is an attacking minded left fullback who joins the club via Fethiyespor in Turkey.

After being a first team regular with Hume City in 2017, Yildiz moved abroad to Turkey where he signed for SuperLig club Goztepe before joining Fethiyespor.

“I really enjoyed my time in Turkey. Training every day and playing in a professional environment helped me develop as a player but I started to miss the comforts of Australia and wanted to come home. I’ve worked with Lachlan in my earlier days and I’m delighted that I’ve joined the club and hope we can have a crack at the title this season.”

The club welcomes Yildiz to the Knights family and wish him well for the upcoming season.

The Knights kick start their 2020 campaign at home to Sydney United this weekend in the annual Friendship Cup at Knights Stadium with kick off scheduled for 4:30pm.
