Magdic in charge

Loyal clubman, and until recently, Assistant Coach, Paul Magdic has been appointed Head Coach of the Melbourne Knights. Magdic takes on the role after Ivan Duzel, who took on the position at the beginning of the 2010 season, was asked to step down late Monday night due to disappointing results for the club.

Magdic, a former Knights player, says,”I’m honoured to be taking on the role at the club, despite the difficult circumstances under which the opportunity has presented itself.”

Magdic, along with his new assistants, Micky Colina and Daniel Rocco, hope to have the Knights return to their winning ways, starting with a difficult away match this Sunday against sister club and local rivals, St Albans Saints.

The Melbourne Knights would like to thank Ivan Duzel for his commitment and passion for the club, and wish him all the best in the future.
