One out of three games into their current away circuit, the Melbourne Knights will be looking to add to the point secured from last week when they face Broadmeadows-based club, Hume City FC at ABD Stadium this weekend.
The match, scheduled for this Saturday the 17th March, will see Hume City FC host the Melbourne Knights, with kick off slated for 7:30pm. With a 6-day turnaround between last week’s match, and the upcoming match against Hume City, Asanovic’s squad will be looking forward to another away hit-out and be seeking to claim a crucial 3-points to jump back into the top half of the table.
After three rounds of the Victorian NPL, the Melbourne Knights come into the match sitting in 8th position on the ladder with four points, after a win (R1), a loss (R2) and a draw (R3). Despite the match outcome, the Knights have not failed to score yet in a match, which should provide confidence for players and fans going forward into this week’s clash. Importantly for the Knights, Nikola Jurkovic will return from suspension and will be available for match selection. Whereas Anthony Duzel, who received a red card in last week’s match against Northcote City will be unavailable for selection.
Hume City FC on the other hand are currently sitting in 11th position on the ladder with 3 points after chalking up a win (R2) and two losses (R1 and R3). In both of Hume’s losses, the score lines have been notably large, first suffering a 4-2 loss in the opening round to Kingston City, and then losing to Avondale FC 5-2 in round three. With that news in hand, Knights will be looking to capitalise and score some valuable goals away from home.
Both teams will be looking to claim the 3 points to improve their ladder position, so it’s safe to say that the clash between Hume City FC and the Melbourne Knights will definitely be a lively contest.
