Knights part ways with senior football staff

The Melbourne Knights Football Club would like to announce that it has accepted the resignation of first team coach Steve Bebic, along with his assistant Tomislav Milardovic, as well as long time team manager Mark Ivkovic effective immediately.

The Club was in constant communication with the coaching staff as forecasting for the upcoming 2023 season began. Upon communication, it became evident that the Clubs view on the path to future success was not in total alignment with the senior footballing staff.

Mr. Bebic was appointed at the beginning of the 2021 season after spending several years as an assistant coach in the NPL.

Although it is never easy to part ways with good club people, the professional and amicable nature of communications leading to the decision is a testament to the Mr Bebic and his team.

The Club would like to thank Mr. Bebic, Mr. Milardovic and Mr. Ivkovi? for their efforts and services. As fans of the Club themselves, the Club looks forward to seeing them around the club long into the future.

Former club captain and 10 year veteran Ben Surey will oversee the side as care-taker coach for the remainder of the 2022 season.
