Miskulin Becomes A Knight

Melbourne Knights have snatched Victory Youth defender Damien Miskulin ahead of tonight’s derby day clash with South Melbourne.

Ironically having just played against his new employers in last Saturday’s 2-1 win, Miskulin did enough to convince the Knights hierarchy to pursue the young defender.

Miskulin has spent the last 4 years in the Melbourne Victory set up, and played a crucial role in last year’s promotion winning side. Previously Damien has spent time with Dandenong City.

Damian joins the Knights with high expectations with recent Victory recruit Nick Glavan’s setting the benchmark following an impressive start to the season.

Speaking to Knights Media prior to tonight’s match, Damien couldn’t contain his delight.

“Joining the Knights is a big challenge, and one I’m really looking forward to. Tonight is a big game game with high expectations, it’s very exciting.”

“I hope I can put in a solid performance and hold my spot in the team”

“My family has supported this club growing up, and it’s exciting to now be playing for them”

Miskulin won’t have to wait long to make his debut for his new club, having been included in tonight’s blockbuster clash with traditional rivals South Melbourne.
