The Melbourne Knights Football Club would like to announce that it has mutually agreed to part ways with Senior Women’s head coach Ray Reda.
Joining the club at the beginning of 2021, following the departure of Gus Flores, Reda set out to prepare the Women’s Senior team for participation in the newly minted Women’s Victorian Premier League and the Nike F.C. Cup.
After another season impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Reda found success for the Knights in the Nike F.C. Cup, guiding the young squad to a quarterfinals berth.
More memorable was the Knights’ round of 16 Cup match against Avondale FC, where the Knights were able to knock the visitors out in a penalty shootout.
The club thanks Ray Reda for his efforts and wish him luck in his future endeavours.
Stay tuned for further announcements regarding the head coaching appointment in the coming days as we prepare for season 2022.
