Knights falter in close fight

The Knights pressed with their quick ball movement but were unable to come back from Oakleigh’s early goal.

Both sides came out firing, with a quick and free flowing pace.

It was an exciting game to watch, but the Cannon’s dominated in front of goal and in the 16th minute that paid off, with a well-timed header from Oakleigh’s Jacob Eliopoulos, which gave the side the lead, they were able to maintain it until the half time break.

The second half started out much the same way the first did, fast and frenetic.

It was a more evenly match half, with both the Knights and the Cannons pressing the goal and trying to find the back of the net.

With both sides giving it their all, emotions spread and at one point got a little heated, but neither could capitalise on those feelings and find the back of the net, with the scores unchanged from the half time whistle at by the full time one.

The Knights are away from home this week as they face off against Dandenong Thunder at George Andrews Reserve on Friday, kick-off at 7:30pm.
