Barisic returns to Somers St

After a 4 year hiatus, the Melbourne Knights welcome back striker Andrew Barisic for the remainder of the 2013 Victorian Premier League season.

The 27 year old returns to the Knights after successful stints with Persebaya 1927 and Arema (IPL) in Indonesia and more recently East Bengal in India. Barisic made 40 appearances for the club in the 2005 and 2006 VPL seasons before heading off to German side Arminia Hannover. He returned to the club in 2008 netting an impressive 19 times in 21 appearances.

Barisic is the third player to join the club in the mid season transfer window, after UK duo William McLachlan and James McGarry joined the club from State League 1 side Bulleen Lions.
