Melbourne Knights FC are delighted to announce the signing and return of favourite son Jacob Colosimo ahead of the 2016 PS4 NPL Season.
Colosimo made the move to Avondale FC during the mid-season transfer window of 2015, seeking more game time and notched up five goals in thirteen games in the process.
“I really enjoyed my time at Avondale FC, they have a good squad, but more importantly I got to play,” Colosimo said to Knights Media.
“I’ve been out for a year, so to get the game time was really good.”
Fans would recall a resurgent Colosimo in a rich vein of form during the early stages of the 2014 Season, before an innocuous challenge at home to Werribee City saw the striker awkwardly twist his knee, and be forced to sit out the best part of a year.
Colosimo will be eyeing up the 100 games milestone with the club during the 2016 season, who currently has 24 goals from 89 league games.
“I love this club, it feels right to be back.”
“I probably came back (from injury) too quick last year, but I’ve been doing a lot of work during the off-season and the body now feels good”.
Colosimo becomes Andrew Marth’s sixth signing of the season, as the squad begins to take shape and build on last season’s top four finish.
