In Tommy Semmy and Tom Woerndl’s return to Paisley Park, the Knights were unable to convert, leading to a Magic win.
The air was filled with anticipation as the Knights were looking to add another win on the road, while the Magic wanted to get capitalise on last week’s win and claim their first back-to-back victory of the season.
The match began with both teams battling it out in every corner of the ground, not allowing many opportunities in attack or defence for either to score, but it was the Magic who peppered the goal trying to send one through. Both sides went into the break scoreless and looking to break through in the second half.
The second half was similar to the first, with both sides taking their chances, but each attack was quickly shut down in defence.
Semmy soon became the source for the Magic fans to let out their frustrations after a couple of tackles didn’t go their way, but that didn’t deter him from taking the ball down the left-hand side of the pitch and attempting to find a way through numerous times, unfortunately for him and the Knights, he was unable to find the back of the net.
Instead, it was the Magic, thanks to a strike from Darcy Anastovski in the 75th minute, which was all they needed to secure the win.
The Knights are back at home this Friday at 7:30pm as they take on Oakleigh Cannons FC, where they’ll be looking to add those much-needed three points to their tally. Hope to see you there to cheer them on!
