The Melbourne Knights Football Club is delighted to announce its first signing in 2020, Conor McDonald.
McDonald, 24, joins the club via Southern United in the ISPS Handa Premier League in New Zealand.
Having had previous spells with Warrenpoint Town FC and Cliftonville FC in the Northern Irish Premier League, the box to box midfielder is another experienced addition to Munro’s squad for the 2020 season.
Having arrived in Melbourne last week, McDonald had this to say;
“When Stuart made contact with me a couple of months ago, I was excited with his vision and the idea of plying my trade in Australia for the first time. From what I’ve heard and read about the club I’m under no illusion of the history and expectations that come with joining such a big club in Australian football. I haven’t come here for a holiday; I’ve come here to further my footballing career and to win trophies with the club.”
The club welcomes McDonald to the Melbourne Knights and wish him well for the upcoming season.
