This is a big game for the Knights as it’s the last home game of the season and a must-win if they want to keep their finals hopes alive.
The Knights are coming off a disappointing loss to Oakleigh two weeks ago, while Dandenong Thunder fell to the Saint Albans Saints and sit seven points behind the Knights.
In their last match-up, the Knights had just parted ways with Head Coach Ben Surey and Captain Ivan Frajic had taken up the interim position.
In that match, the Knights showed their wares and delivered a convincing performance, resulting in a 3-0 win that essentially spurred on their season, which saw the side improve week after week and seal the Head Coach position for Franjic.
Ciaran Bramwell starred that night with two goals in the opening half and Saif Sakhi scored the third in the second half.
This game saw the Knights start to build the style of football we’ve come to enjoy across the second half of the season, and has led to some pretty special wins, seeing us only two points off sixth position.
We also expect to see Thunder come out fighting as they look to take revenge on the Knights and spoil any finals hopes.
With only two games to play, the side will be looking to draw on their experience earlier in the season and produce a solid performance and result tomorrow night.
