The Melbourne Knights Football Club is delighted to announce Calvin Whitney as its next singing during the 2019 mid-season transfer window.
Whitney, 23, a no nonsense defensive midfielder joins the club from the Bentleigh Greens via Bayswater FC.
Having developed through the Perth Glory Youth Team, Whitney was a stand out player in the WANPL for Bayswater this season.
His performances earnt him a move to the Bentleigh Greens a week ago however the Knights were able to convince him to come across to Somers Street in their quest for silverware this season.
“I arrived in Melbourne last week when the Knights reached out to me. I remembered a former team mate of mine – Gian Albano – was down here now playing for the club so I thought the transition would be easy and the opportunity too good to pass up.”
Whitney will be available for selection for tomorrow evenings away game to Altona Magic at Paisley Park with kick off scheduled for 6:00pm.
