Football Federation Australia (FFA) has confirmed the venues for two of the three remaining Westfield FFA Cup Round of 16 matches that were yet to be finalised.
The highly anticipated Sydney Derby between Sydney United 58 FC and Sydney FC will be held at the Sydney United Sports Centre in Edensor Park, while Victorian NPL 1 side St Albans Saints will host Perth Glory at Knights Stadium in Melbourne’s west.
Sydney United Sports Centre and Knights Stadium were confirmed after lighting certificates of satisfactory levels were received for both venues to hold the matches. FFA was awaiting receipt of the official lighting certificates before announcing the venues due to relevant player welfare and safety considerations, as well as ensuring suitability for TV broadcast.
The Westfield FFA Cup’s official broadcast partner FOX SPORTS will televise the Sydney United 58 FC and Sydney FC match in full while also providing LIVE updates and crosses with single camera coverage of St Albans v Perth Glory plus the other two matches on the night.
The coverage will follow a similar format to that of the hugely successful night one of the Round of 32, with FOX SPORTS to show the encounter between Tuggeranong United and Melbourne Victory LIVE and exclusively coupled with live crosses and updates of the other three matches being played simultaneously.
