The Melbourne Knights Football Club are delighted to reveal the signing of Thomas Manos, ahead of the 2021 season.

The 25-year-old will arrive at the Knights from NPL NSW side, Sydney United 58 FC.

His following destination was the Wollongong Wolves of the NPL NSW, who he represented for the solitary season in 2015.

Following the 2015 season with Wollongong, Manos made the move to fellow Croatian club Sydney United, spending the majority of his career here .

During his time at Sydney United, the side was crowned NPL Champions for the second time and became five-time Waratah Cup winners in 2016. His latest accomplishment with Sydney United arose in 2020, when they won the NSW state league for the fifth time in their history.

After winning every trophy in NSW that was available to him, he stated, “it was time for a new challenge, so this opportunity came at the perfect time.”

The goalkeeper was thrilled when he got the call, acknowledging the presence of the Melbourne Knights in Australian football.

When Manos arrived at the Knights, he mentioned, “I’m excited to be here, the lads and coaching staff have made me feel at home from the minute I stepped in.” He continued, “the coaching staff has a lot of drive, knowledge and ambition, and that is something I wanted to be a part of.”

In terms of targets for the season, Manos asserted that he wanted to “help the Knights get back to where they belong, and that is near the top of the table.” He added, “we have a good, young squad that is showing promise, and I believe we have what it takes to do well and compete for trophies.”

Everyone at the Melbourne Knights welcomes Thomas to the club and is excited to see him perform in 2021.
